Terms of service
Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms cover your use of Reel Lineup at reellineup.com. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Reel Lineup.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Give us a real email address you can receive mail at, and keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Your username is public and becomes part of your profile link. Don’t pick one that impersonates someone else or infringes a trademark. We may reclaim usernames that do.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you add to Reel Lineup, including the notes you write on picks and the history you import. You give us permission to store it, show it to the people it’s meant for, and process it to run the service, for example to blend lineups into top picks. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies that briefly remain in backups.
When you use Reel Lineup, don’t:
- post notes that harass, threaten or demean anyone, or that are illegal;
- send spam or use lineups to advertise;
- upload files that aren’t your own Letterboxd export, or that contain malware;
- scrape the site, overload it, probe it for security holes without permission, or get around its limits;
- access accounts or data that aren’t yours.
Our side
- Reel Lineup is free. We may add, change or remove features, and we’ll try to give notice before removing anything you rely on.
- We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. Where it makes sense, we’ll tell you why.
- We handle your information as described in our privacy policy.
Movie data
Film titles, posters and other movie details come from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Reel Lineup isn’t affiliated with Letterboxd, and the import only reads the export file you upload. Posters and film details belong to their respective owners.
No warranty
Reel Lineup is provided as is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every Letterboxd film will match. Keep your own Letterboxd export if you need a copy of your history.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Reel Lineup and the people behind it aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we’ll update the date at the top. For significant changes we’ll email you before they take effect. If you keep using Reel Lineup after that, you accept the new terms.
